Ibn Battuta Earthwork by Stan Herd

Stan Herd's crop art pays homage to 14th-century scholar Ibn Battuta. This giant portrait is the first in a series devoted to understanding the importance of knowledge and exploration between cultures. The earthwork was constructed in the Spring/Summer of 2009 on Pendleton's Farm near Lawrence, Kansas. YouTube link.
